Our Story

Bill Epstein, principal builder and owner of W. Epstein Builders, has enjoyed building since he first built a garage with his father as a young boy. More than 30 years ago Bill started his career working as a carpenter on both commercial and large residential projects. In 1979 he purchased his first building lot and personally built his first spec home. After several years of purchasing lots and building and selling houses, Bill expanded his business by buying larger parcels of land that he developed and built communities of homes. During his career he has earned numerous awards. In 1994 and again in 1998 the Northwest Builders Association of New Jersey named him Builder of the Year. His work has received honors for quality of work and craftsmanship. And in 2003 the New Jersey Builders Association honored Bill by inducting him into the Builders Hall of Fame in recognition of his exemplary record of quality construction and dedicated service to the building industry.

In 2006, Bill relocated his business to Southport, North Carolina, where he now builds quality homes in coastal communities of Brunswick County. He is a hands-on builder, personally supervising each of the homes that he builds. He is committed to 100% customer satisfaction, and strives to exceed his customers' expectations. Bill works closely with his customers and builds each home with the same level of care and pride as he put into building his own home.

Bill believes in staying current on the most up-to-date materials, technologies and practices in the building industry. To this end, he regularly attends seminars and the builder shows at the state, regional and national levels. He is an active member of Brunswick County Homebuilder's Association and a Life Member of the National Association of Home Builders. And In 2010, Bill Epstein completed the requirements and became a Nationally Certified Green Builder.
